About Us

U3As are voluntary Seniors’ Groups that provide educational, recreational, creative and social programs. Each U3A is organised by and for people who can best be described as being active in retirement or semi-retirement, the third age of their lives.

Murrindindi East U3A was established for people in their third age who are over the age of 50 and are not working full time. Our Mission is to provide opportunities for seniors to teach, learn, share and socialise in a friendly and relaxed environment, regardless or ethnicity, religion, ability or disability.

Our courses cover a wide range of areas, from academic to physical, recreational and artistic activities. Our members enjoy both the intellectual and social engagement provided by our courses.

No special qualifications are required to join Murrindindi East U3A. Our courses are non-competitive, without assignments or exams, and are either no cost or low cost.  We encourage members to both expand their knowledge in existing areas and to explore new fields and activities.

Murrindindi East U3A is a non-profit organisation, run by volunteers. We welcome participation from members in roles including tutors, administrators and committee members.

Murrindindi East U3A Inc is managed under the Model Rules of Association. Refer to this link to access the generic Model Rules. Our official copy of these rules is held by our Secretary.
